Η Βάσια γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1985. Ήθελε να γίνει φυσικός ή/και ποιήτρια. Σπούδασε ψυχολογία στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Εδιμβούργου αλλά τελικά, μετά τις παροτρύνσεις σπουδαίων ανθρώπων του χώρου, ασχολήθηκε επαγγελματικά με τη φωτογραφία και την κινηματογράφηση. Όλα πήγαν καλά. Ξεκίνησε να εργάζεται στο ΒΗΜΑgazino κάνοντας ρεπορτάζ. Στη συνέχεια συνεργάστηκε με πολλά έντυπα φωτογραφίζοντας σχεδόν ολόκληρη την αθηναϊκή καλλιτεχνική σκηνή και γνωρίζοντας υπέροχους ανθρώπους (Highlight, Δίφωνο, Σινεμά, Metropolis κ.α.). Παράλληλα, έχει το δικό της studio , όπου κάνει πορτραίτα για book, δίσκους, αφίσες. Περισσότερο φωτογραφίζει θέατρο (Θέατρο Πορεία, Λυκόφως κ.α.), που είναι και το αγαπημένο της. Έχει εργαστεί για χρόνια ως backstage και promo φωτογράφος του Mega Tv και του Skai. Τα τελευταία 10 χρόνια ασχολείται αρκετά με τη διεύθυνση φωτογραφίας και σκηνοθεσία promo και εταιρικών video, θεατρικών trailer, videomagazino και πάνω απ' όλα music video (Minos EMI/ Universal group, Polymusic κ.α.). Έχει εργαστεί σε ταινίες, με πιο πρόσφατη την "Ευτυχία". Φωτογραφίζει και κινηματογραφεί για διαφημιστικές και εταιρίες παραγωγής. Καλύπτει events και συναυλίες. Έχει ένα σκύλο, τη "Γάτα", χορεύει hip hop και ονειρεύεται να ζήσει στο Los Angeles και να είναι φωτογράφος πλατό σε κινηματογραφικές παραγωγές.
Vasia was born in Athens in 1985. As a kid, she had big dreams of becoming a physicist and/ or a poet. She studied psychology, though, at the University of Edinburgh but, after a lot of encouragement from very prominent figures of the artistic world, she decided to follow photography and cinematography professionally. Her career change paid off and everything turned out great. Soon after her decision, she started working at Vimagazino as a reporter. Following her start there came a great deal of collaborations with printed and online press where she photographed almost the entire of the current artistic scene of Athens. She had the chance and pleasure to meet incredible people through her broad spectrum of work for publications. In the meantime, she has her own studio where she makes portraits for a variety of portfolios, album covers and posters. She photographs a lot of theatre too; incorporating her deep love and appreciation for it whilst working with a wide range of highly established theatres. She has also worked for TV as a backstage and promo photographer for some of Greece’s biggest TV channels (Mega TV, Skai Tv). For the past 10 years she is working as a photography and video director spanning from promos and corporate videos to vlogs and video magazines. Most importantly, she has been actively directing music videos for Minos EMI / Universal Group, Polymusic amongst others. She has also worked in film industry, advertising, events coverage and live gigs. She has a dog she named ‘Cat’, dances hip hop and daydreaming of living in Los Angeles working as a still photographer in big film productions and movie sets.
